Mahindra XUV 500 and Renault Duster have one thing in common – affordability tag! Both compact SUVs are available in petrol and diesel variants and manual transmission only. Also, Mahindra XUV 500 and Renault Duster will both come in 4×2 and 4×4 wheel drive options.
While the Duster will have a 1.5 Litre Petrol Engine delivering 105 BHP and 1.6 Litre Diesel delivering 110 BHP of power, the Mahindra XUV 500 has a 2.2 Litre Diesel engine delivering 140 BHP of power. Interestingly, the XUV 500 will prove to be longer, wider, and higher than the Duster. Unfortunately, with a low ground clearance of 180mm, the Mahindra mini SUV lags behind the French Duster which will have the best clearance at 210mm.
